Sadly, football season has come to an end at Northwood High School. However, it is safe to say that the Falcon family is very proud of the Football team and everything they accomplished during this incredibly historic season. For the first time ever, Northwood finished 10-0 and were crowned District Champions. After winning the first two games, Northwood was eliminated in the third round of the playoffs after losing to Warren Easton. Regardless, this year was one of major success and it has set a new standard for the players and coaches.

Numerous Falcons were awarded with First Team All-District honors: Luke Bogan, Trayon Jones, Detravion Brown, Walker Elkins, Terrance Cook, Armon Coatney, Tyler Lummus, and Kyren Brown. Quarterback Luke Bogan and Receiver/defensive back, Trayon Jones, were also awarded Offensive Co-MVP, and Linebacker Tyler Lummus was awarded Defensive MVP. Coach Jim Gatlin was awarded with Coach of the Year after renouncing his retirement just before the season and leading the Falcons to a District title. Additionally, school records were set this season; Trayon Jones became the leader in receiving yards with 1,931 as well as 25 touchdowns. Overall, although we are sad to see the football season come to a close, it was an amazing and historic season for the Falcons.
