Over the summer, our very own JROTC Battalion Commander Darius Chargois attended basic training. While at training, Darius was informed that he had been award the Legion of Valor award, which is only awarded to cadets who demonstrate the utmost leadership and academic skill. The Legion of Valor award is the highest award that a cadet can receive. Darius enjoyed Basic Training, and at the same time he “learned many leadership values and skills.” While he learned many valuable lessons during his time with the military, he could also not wait to get home to see his family and return to the Nest with all his peers and teachers while leading the mighty Falcon Battalion. Congratulations, Darius, and thank you for your service!
