Our Football team geared up all season for their chance at playoffs, led by head coach Austin Brown the team has gone 5-2 in district and 5-5 total this season. Their first team they played in playoffs was Archbishop Rummel High school. Offensive tackle, Damion Matthews, says that “the team is ready to play their hardest for the win this week.” Quarterback Hutson Herron says that “we will have to see” how the team does right before the game. Unfortunately, our team lost 34 - 14 but our guys played their hardest and finished out their season in style. Our Volleyball team did so well this season with a 16 – 9 record. Under head coach Haynes Lange, they made it to the first round of playoffs against Assumption High School. Sophomore Addison Wall said after the game that “we went into the game to play as a team and make it the best and most fun to the end of the season.” Unfortunately they lost 3-0 in the first round, kicking them out of the playoffs for good this year.
As we go into the offseason for both of our Northwood teams, they will say goodbye to their seniors and get the rest of their players ready to win next year.
